4 Skills Every Freelance Photographer Should HAve

To become a freelance photographer, you really need a keen eye for detail. You need to be able to notice where you can improve. Looking around it is good to be able to notice the best place to take a photo.

Creativity
You also need to be extremely creative. Again, you need to be able to look around somewhere people may find boring and find a way to make it interesting. Know your angles and how they can make a photo pop.

A freelance photographer needs to be patience. You need to understand that it is going to take time for you to grow and build your community. At the end of the day, practice makes perfect.

Are we experiencing the rise of the freelancer?

Freelancing is very common in many industries, such as marketing, writing, photography, project management, accountancy, and interior design, to name a few. The UK has over 2 million freelancers, and the number continues to rise. So what is it about freelancing that’s so great?

As a sole trader (self-employed) individual, you can work when you like. Of course, you need to be ablet o promote yourself and maintain strong relationships with clients, however, at the best of times you can enjoy great flexibility while setting the right price for your time and work. There can be downsides, though. When things are quiet, it can be immensely stressful and daunting, especially when your next significant rent or mortgage payment is due. Freelancing is essential entrepreneurship in many ways. You have to run a successful business to keep yourself afloat, but when things are going well and work increases, as does pay! And it’s enriching.

Teaching: Can it lead to a career in politics?

Many teachers become councilors in their local area, possibly because they’ve seen changes are desperately needed in schools that they’ve worked in, and they feel they can make a difference. It’s actually quite a natural career move, if you have the passion for politics, and there have been many MPs who were previously teachers. The role of a teacher varies and now it’s not just about teaching students new skills, it’s also about nurturing them and their wellbeing. If you’re a teacher who loves politics, perhaps you’re already paving your way into a more political career choice, and there are many people you’ll be following in the footsteps of, such as Gordon Brown, Tristram Hunt and David Warburton. Are you fed up of funding cuts? Why not look into a career as a politician; it could be just the ticket. Or, take the time to teach Politics as a subject and branch out your tutoring skills.

Becoming A Special Education Teacher – A Rewarding And Challenging Career

There are many rewards in store for those who step foot into the field of special education. If you have the drive to assist special needs students, then this career path could be perfect for you. There are several educational options to think about when considering a commitment to helping those with special needs. Special education certifications vary depending on the jurisdiction of where you want to teach, but many counties across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and some require the completion of a master’s degree education.

If taking your education to a new level is of interest to you, then you might want to consider earning your supplemental degree online. Online programs can be less expensive than attending a traditional university. You also save commute time whilst you’re able to live at home. In addition to this, you also have the flexibility of taking courses and doing your independent study at your convenience – a lack of time doesn’t have to stand in the way of pursuing that desired degree.

Besides having the right educational qualifications, there are other traits that a good special education teacher should possess. A keen sense of empathy and understanding goes a long way in this field, whilst you often need to be creative in your teaching methods; being able to offer alternate ways of solving a problem for example. You should also be comfortable managing small classrooms and working one-on-one with students that have assorted learning challenges. Not all teachers are cut out for the tests that face special educators and there is an abundance of extra paperwork, as endless reports must be provided for the families as well as regulatory agencies and onsite school administrators. So do keep all of these points in mind if you’re considering a career as a special education teacher.
