Sadly, it is more common than not for workplace bullying to take place. Sometimes people do not realise that this is what is happening to them as they have been blind sighted by the idea. Today, we are going to share with you signs of workplace bullying.
Intimidation
One of the more common signs of workplace bullying is if you feel intimidated by managers or other work colleagues. If they are not treating you as a part of the team and are controlling your every move, you could be in the scene of workplace bullying.
Control
While managers within the workplace do need to have control over their colleagues, too much control can lead to workplace bullying. If you feel as if you are being too controlled, and not given any independence, this can be another sign of workplace bullying. You should feel free in your workplace, not trapped.
Lack of Communication and Listening
Another sign of workplace bullying can be as simple as a lack of communication and listening. This can be as simple as you not being communicated with, with regards to business changes and what they expect of you. Or, if you are struggling to voice your own opinions as other workers are not listening to you and dismiss any idea as soon as you speak.
Undermining Your Work
If you feel as though other workers around you are being given more opportunities to progress, you may be suffering from workplace bullying. With some singling out workers that they do not wish to progress, blocking their path by setting them more difficult challenges or goals that will not help them to progress.
These are four of the main ways that you can define if you are being affected by workplace bullying. While name-calling can still play a part, there is more to look out for with regards to workplace bullying.
